My subject was people, and I did both portraits and full-body drawings.

Some reoccurring themes in my play pages were masks/the pandemic, fashion, and diversity.

I enjoyed using graphite, colored pencil, pen, wrapping paper, translucent paper, and paper bags. I want to further explore pen, wrapping paper, translucent paper, and paper bags.

I am most engaged with 2D art, mainly drawing and collage.

I had the most fun with the pages where I used paper bags, magazines, and wrapping paper as clothes. I also enjoyed using translucent paper as a skeleton for one of my drawings because I thought it was cool and looked different from the rest of my play pages.

My most successful play pages were when I collaged a flat material onto a drawing. Using thicker materials that required hot glue led to more unsuccessful pieces. Both the hot glue and the thicker materials made it difficult to get the details I wanted and came out messy, which was as a result of the subject, medium, and process. I was unfamiliar with these materials, such as plastic bags and yarn, which made me struggle to successfully incorporate them.
