Friday's lunchtime lecture was done by local artist Theodora Miller. She began to do abstract art after getting a concussion and after healing, continued to embrace it through her Greek roots. I found it really interesting how she previously had interest in realism art and did not attend art school, but switched to abstraction after the accident. I really loved her technique of scraping away paint to reveal layers. It was really fascinating how she was able to relate her art to her experiences and herself, and I thought it was a really interesting lecture.
