Finishing Up

This week I added the final touches and finished up wood carving! I tried to add a bit more definition to the leaves and vines. I used rasps, rifflers, and sandpaper to smooth out the rough parts of the carving and further rounded it out. Then, I coated it in Danish oil, which isn't in this photo. This piece definitely didn't come out how I intended and could have looked a lot cleaner, but I did my best and I'm glad I got the chance to try out wood carving.
